This year, for the first time ever, the climax of the ITV1 talent show will be
staged in Manchester rather than London.
Last year thousands watched as the show's winner was crowned at London's Wembley Arena.
Up until then the finale had always taken place in nearby Fountain TV studios.
But now judges Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh and the remaining hopefuls will decamp to exhibition centre Manchester Central to find out who will be the winner of X Factor 2012.
